Andrews Auto Sales & Lakeside Racing News SBS 30 added to the inaugural Kasey Kahne “Steel Palace Classic”



The NORA Small Block Supers will have a chance for some national exposure as the SBS cars will be the support class for the inaugural Kasey Kahne “Steel Palace Classic” USAC Silver Crown race to be run on Thursday, August 6th at Oswego Speedway. This 100 lap Silver Crown race will feature Kasey Kahne and fellow NASCAR star Ryan Newman. The Andrews Auto Sales & Lakeside Racing News SBS 30 lap feature has generated much excitement among the SBS competitors who look forward to racing in this inaugural event. 10 lap heat races will be sponsored by Chris Nelson Insurance of Oswego. Advance General Admission tickets are available through the Oswego Speedway box office or by calling 315-342-0646. Children’s tickets and pit passes will available on the day of the event.

In other news, NORA has been added to the Spencer Speedway schedule for Friday night, August 28th as a makeup for the rained out July 17th race. This will be after the Oswego Speedway season points championship has been decided and a tune up for the big Oswego Classic Weekend the following weekend so expect a great field of competitors in the always competitive SBS division. Pit gates open at 4:00pm, grandstands and practice at 5:30pm and the racing action starts at 7:30pm.



NORA would also like to announce the Championship Night Raffle. First prize will be the two pit passes good for the August 22nd Championship Night race. Second prize will be the two general admission grandstand tickets for the same night.
Tickets are $1.00 each, and only 400 tickets will be sold.
Tickets will be available on both Saturday, August 8th and Saturday, August 15th, with the winners drawn on August 15th at the Speedway. You will be able to purchase tickets in the main concession area of the grandstands and also in the pit area from NORA representatives.

This will all lead up to the NORA season finale at the 59th Sunoco Race of Champions on Saturday September 12th. The Lighthouse Lanes ROC SBS 35 will be part of a huge day of racing along with a 150 lap Late Model feature and other qualifying races. Look for more info and a detailed ROC schedule soon.
